V1 was truly a beauty. It had a lot battery life, it was loud, and best of all it could hold 12 of your favorite canned drinks. What more could you want from a cooler speaker you might ask? Well…. but….
So I bought this new cooler right. I’m hoping it will solve these problems:
Easier to transport (Wheels and handle)
Ugly/bad speaker (Choose pairs of speakers)
Prone to external damage (3d print covers)
Potential for internal damage
What changed?
Notes:
Once again I bought my speaker pairs from a thrift store, and I reused the old radio and battery.
I wish I still had the STL files for the 3d printed covers. The design is shown to the right.
From v1, I…
Measured the speakers and radio and traced them on the cooler
cut out the holes for the speakers and radio
Screwed speakers with covers into the side.
inserted the radio from the top
Wired everything according to the wiring diagram from V1
And voila! Same exact functionality but with more protection, portability, and aesthetics 🙂
